On the 24th January 2010 Smeatharpe Stadium hosted its annual Winter Open Championship for the National Bangers under 2 Litre which is one of the meetings of the year on the banger calendar. Supporting the National Bangers were the Stock Rods and Ministox. On this DVD action comes thick and fast right when the green flag falls with an early track blockage to start the meeting with a bang, 741 Boris’s follow in on 303 Nic Saintey, 230 Kierran Genge in the thick of the action with a spectacular follow in on 632 Reedy Junior and then on the receiving end of a big follow in from the Bad Boy 162 Brett Ellacott, 190 Pikeys meaty shot on 205 Alex Ganter, 180 Sparky Foster in fine form on his track debut with some big hits with a monster burial of 118 Nigel Lewis but star showing from 252 Boogie Steve Bugler with his one man stand against the Midnight Runners taking some stiff punishment all throughout the meeting! This DVD features all this and more with a specially edited menu page, introduction, pit footage with the grand parade also, all the banger races in full with a 3 camera edit, race commentary, highlights’ sections throughout then some in car footage from 190 Pikey, 10 Lamp and 741 Boris then a highlights section capping off the days action in style!
